Fairmont makes Thailand debut with Bangkok opening

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Thai property with Fairmont Bangkok Sukhumvit.

The hotel houses 416 guestrooms and 58 suites, including accommodation options specifically designed for families.

As Sukhumvit is famed for its fine dining scene, the hotel itself will host seven distinct culinary venues by the end of this year.

Already open are French-American brasserie Harper’s; Caya Pool Club serving Thai street food and cocktails;and the Aela Social Bar which transforms from daytime lounge to cocktail bar.

Opening in mid-September will be Wiggle Room, an entertainment venue offering cabaret performances, live music and a private supper club.

By December, two further dining venues will open, serving contemporary Thai cuisine and Italian-Japanese dishes. 

With an emphasis on wellness, the property’s Fairmont Spa features individual and couples’ treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms, ice baths, cold rooms, hydrotherapy facilities, and a yoga and strength training studio.  

Other amenities include a kids’ club programme, three floors of event space and pet-friendly rooms for clients travelling with animals. 

Those who book the Fairmont Gold experience will have access to a dedicated reception, exclusive lounge and personalised concierge team.
