Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere will welcome guests from July 10
Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has expanded its UK portfolio with a hotel in Cheshire.
Following a £35 million acquisition and a further £90 million renovation led by real estate development company Select Group, Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere has opened reservations and will welcome guests from July 10.
Overlooking The Mere Lake, the property will feature 116 rooms and 23 suites, as well as multiple food and beverage outlets, including Gordon Ramsey at The Mere, The Orangery, which will serve afternoon tea, and The Club Lounge, where guests can enjoy British and Indian cuisine.
There will be a Fairmont Spa, offering “elevated” wellness experiences, as well as a Spa Bar for post-treatment refreshments.
Guests will also have access to an 18-hole golf course.
The property features a 1,000-square-metre ballroom with capacity for up to 1,000 guests, as well as four boardrooms available for meetings or private dining.
Chief brand officer for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Claudia Kozma Kaplan, said: “Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere offers a countryside sanctuary designed for pause and restoration within beautifully appointed surrounds.
“Guests can indulge in pure serenity at the calming spa which draws inspiration from the lake, savour celebratory moments in the refined Club Lounge after a round of golf and experience world-class British and international cuisine at Gordon Ramsay at The Mere, all within a quintessentially British rural setting.”
Fairmont Cheshire, The Mere marks the brand’s fourth UK property, joining The Savoy, Fairmont Windsor Park and Fairmont St Andrews.
