Agency’s sales increased by 75% compared with June 2024
Colletts Travel has achieved its best June sales performance since 2021, with the total increasing by 75% compared with the same month in 2024.
The agency, part of Global Travel Collection (GTC), credited the growth as being the result of a strong demand for last-minute, experience-focused trips.
Colletts general manager Jen Hartnett said: “We’re seeing a clear return to high-end travel, with clients booking closer to departure and prioritising both quality and value.
“Given the strength of the late market in June, we fully expect this momentum to continue through July.”
A total of 67% of June’s revenue was tied to trips departing within 90 days, while top-performing destinations included the Caribbean, Greece, Dubai and France.
Long-haul trips are gaining momentum, the agency said, as clients are wanting to capitalise on favourable exchange rates and get better value for money.
GTC UK vice-president Francesca Mendola said: “In the luxury space there is a huge demand for experiential travel, and clients aren’t waiting on bucket-list trips – they’re jumping in now.
“What used to have a year’s lead time is now being booked in days.”
Luxury all-inclusive resorts in Europe are continuing to be a “go-to” for families, the company added.
