The former head of UK and Ireland sales will have a ‘full view of the agent journey’
Classic Collection’s Jorge Quibell has been promoted to the newly created role of head of trade distribution, giving him a “full view of the agent journey”.
Quibell, who began his career as a travel agent, has been promoted from his position of head of sales for the UK and Ireland.
In his new role, he will oversee all sales and service operations for the tour operator’s travel agent partners. This will include responsibility for regional sales managers, the agency support team and Classic’s contact centre.
Classic Collection B2B director Si Morris-Green said: “This is a great step forward for Jorge, who’s been with the business for four years.
“His new role gives him a full view of the customer and agent journey. With our 100% trade focus and the support of our national trade team, this move further reinforces our commitment to our travel agent partners.”
As part of his expanded role, Quibell will continue to spearhead Classic Collection’s trade team, with Kim Sellman moving into a new position as key account manager. She was formerly an account manager for homeworkers.
Retail agents will remain supported by regional sales managers Ashleigh Raymond, Adam Courtney and Harry Williams, alongside the agency support team.
Quibell said: “Having been a travel agent myself, I’m passionate about making sure it’s easy to work with us and that our agent partners always receive the highest levels of service.”
