Operator to trial email support service on Saturdays
Carrier is set to update its call centre schedule by replacing the service with an email-based system every Saturday.
The operator will trial the service from August 1, with the email system available between 10am and 4pm every Saturday in place of its traditional call centre.
The move follows a “marked shift” in trading patterns as the brand reports Saturday as its quietest trading day.
The new service will focus on “time-sensitive requests”, prioritising urgent ongoing enquiries that require immediate actions, such as reserving flight seats and accommodation and confirming existing quotes.
If agents need support on a Saturday, Carrier has advised emailing the luxury travel designer handling the booking or the team’s dedicated email: enquiries@carrier.co.uk.
The service operates on Saturdays only and the operator remains closed on Sundays.
Any new or non-urgent enquires will be picked up on Monday and any in-resort assistance should be forwarded to the duty management team.
Carrier said the trial will help the brand “better understand where weekend support delivers the greatest value”.
