More than 50 agents toured Azamara Journey in Liverpool earlier this month
More than 50 agents attended Azamara Cruises’ largest ever UK trade ship visit earlier this month.
The event in Liverpool saw 52 agents tour the vessel Azamara Journey.
The specialist line is staging 13 ship visits this year with 350 agents signed up to attend.
The remaining events this year include Leith, Edinburgh (August 16), Cobh (September 4) and Portsmouth (September 6), all on board Azamara Journey.
UK & EMEA managing director David Duff said: "Agent engagement plays a major part in our UK strategy, and we are delighted to have achieved nearly 1,800 agent engagements in the last few months.
“From hosting agents at travel industry conferences and staging seminars at sea, to our ‘Sister’s Meet’ event in Barcelona earlier this year, we remain committed to giving our trade partners the tools and knowledge they need to sell Azamara with confidence."
UK & Ireland sales director Stuart Pearce said: "Our ship visits are always popular with agents, but this one in Liverpool was exceptionally well attended with twice the number of agents we usually host on a visit.
“The enthusiasm was infectious - agents were genuinely excited about what they discovered aboard.
“Having agents spend time with us and experience the ship first-hand is always the best way for them to see what we offer our guests, and the feedback was really positive. Many agents told us how much they love our ’destination immersion’ philosophy and left with concrete plans to showcase our unique itineraries to their most discerning clients."
