AmaWaterways expands Africa collection with four new itineraries

AmaWaterways has expanded its Africa Safaris and Wildlife cruise collection with the launch of four new itineraries.

Ranging in length from nine to 18 nights, the new programmes will combine a three-night sailing down the Chobe River on board the 24-passenger Zambezi Queen (pictured) with “immersive” land programmes.

From the Cape to the Falls, which can be booked as a nine or 11-night programme, features a journey from Cape Town to Victoria Falls, river and land safaris, and an optional two-night Johannesburg extension.

The 14-night Iconic Africa itinerary visits Cape Town, Victoria Falls and Kruger National Park, while the 15-night African Wonders and the Skeleton Coast programme showcases the landscapes of Namibia.

Available as a 14 or 18-night itinerary, Classic Kenya and Southern Africa combines the Chobe River and Victoria Falls with Kenya’s Amboseli and Masai Mara reserves, as well as an optional Zanzibar extension.

All four new itineraries are available for 2026 to 2027 departures.
