Move will provide agents with access to ‘comprehensive ground services’ across the country
Abercrombie & Kent has launched a DMC in South Korea to provide “comprehensive ground services” to travel agents, tour operators and cruise lines.
The company will operate from Seoul and provide standalone Korean itineraries, as well as multi-country programmes across northeast Asia.
The launch comes as South Korea emerges as one of Asia’s “most compelling” destinations, as “discerning travellers seek authentic and cultural immersion”.
Airlift to the country is also improving, with Virgin Atlantic set to launch a daily non-stop service from Heathrow to Seoul in March 2026.
Rebecca Osman, chief destination officer at Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group, said: "South Korea represents the convergence of ancient tradition and contemporary innovation that defines modern luxury travel.
"This new DMC allows us to unlock authentic Korean experiences for our guests and trade partners, from Seoul’s cutting-edge neighbourhoods to centuries-old palaces and the country’s remarkable culinary heritage."
The move forms part of A&K’s “strategic expansion” and follows recent DMC openings in Mexico and Indonesia, as well as acquisitions in the Nordics and Bolivia.
