Sessions will explore what it means to be a certified B Corp expedition operator
AE Expeditions will host two breakfast webinars next month for UK trade partners, exploring what it means to be a certified B Corp expedition operator.
The events will be a celebration of B Corp Month, which showcases B Corp companies that are verified as meeting standards for social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.
Taking place on March 4 and March 18 at 8am, the hour-long sessions will feature AE Expeditions’ sustainability manager, Sasha Buch, who will talk about the cruise line’s sustainability framework, operational practices and long-term commitment to responsible expedition travel.
The webinars will examine the standards behind B Corp certification, the ongoing accountability required to maintain it, and how expedition travel can create positive environmental and social impact in the remote regions that AE explores.
As a certified B Corp, AE Expeditions integrates sustainability across its operations – ranging from ship design and technological innovation to citizen science programmes which involve passengers in data collection that supports global research initiatives.
Buch said: “B Corp certification is about accountability and continuous improvement – it challenges us to measure our impact and keep raising the bar.
“These sessions are an opportunity to share how responsible travel is embedded into our day-to-day operations, from the way we design our voyages to how expeditioners can actively contribute through Citizen Science and responsible travel practices.”
The breakfast sessions will provide an open forum for discussion, offering trade partners practical insight into how sustainability can support conversations with clients, and an understanding of how their voyage choices contribute to a broader purpose.
