Nobu Hospitality has unveiled plans to open its first “countryside escape” in the English village of Rutland.

Nobu Woolfox will encompass a hotel, restaurant and collection of branded residences.

The development, created in partnership with Rutland-based luxury members club Woolfox, will sit in a 185-acre estate near the town of Stamford.

The hotel will incorporate lake-view rooms and suites, alongside wellness and leisure facilities including a spa, pool, gym and landscaped grounds.

A signature Nobu restaurant and bar will also feature, as well as other dedicated food and beverage spaces open to members, guests and residents.

The opening will mark a “thoughtful evolution of the brand into refined countryside retreats”.

Nobu Hospitality chief executive Trevor Horwell said: “This is a truly special location in the heart of England, surrounded by rolling historic landscapes and quintessential English countryside.

“For the first time within our portfolio, we have the opportunity at Nobu Woolfox to create a special countryside retreat experience – one that offers all the hallmarks of Nobu, but in a setting defined by nature, tranquillity and a sense of escape.”

An opening date for the development is yet to be confirmed.
