Luxury operator Elegant Resorts saw tailor-made bookings more than double in 2025, with a 59% year-on-year increase.

The brand’s average customer spend also grew from £22,100 to £29,800 last year, constituting a 35% uptick compared with 2024.

Asia outperformed the brand’s other areas with a 75% hike in bookings compared with the year prior. Three of the company’s top five regions were from the continent, with the US first, Thailand second, Japan third, Australia fourth and Indonesia fifth.

Elegant Resorts has projected its top emerging destinations for 2026 will be French Polynesia, Japan, Kenya, Cambodia and Sri Lanka.

Malta is a new “short break” addition for the brand this year, with a focus on properties in the capital Valletta highlighting baroque architecture, historic harbours and artisan shopping.

The operator will also expand its sustainable Green Leaf collection, aiming to grow the percentage share of bookings to the portfolio.

Gordon McCreadie, Elegant Resorts’ managing director, said: “We are working on diversifying our worldwide programme. While we are well-known for our beach holiday offering, I am delighted to see that our expanded portfolio – with a range of exciting multi-centre holidays, authentic experiences, exclusive access to events, communities and places – is proving so popular.

“Our clients know that they are in the hands of a very experienced team who can plan and organise the most complex itineraries down to the very last detail.”
