Changes include renovated rooms and enhanced dining options
Grecotel Hotels & Resorts has revealed details of a series of updates across its properties in Crete.
The changes are said to “reaffirm” the Greek island where the hotel group was founded as its flagship destination.
Following a redesign of its rooms and public spaces, Creta Palace will move into Grecotel’s Luxme collection of premium all-inclusive properties. Guests have access to a range of themed restaurants as well as five complimentary à la carte dinners in every seven-night stay.
These options include dinner at the hotel group’s Agreco Farm, which offers ‘Be a Farmer For a Day’ experiences, children’s cooking classes and farm-to-table dining.
Elsewhere, Luxme White, the first hotel in the Luxme portfolio, has enhanced its culinary offering. Guests can eat at seven different venues, including seafood specialist Lobsteria, and also sample a Cretan tasting menu during a dine-out evening at Agreco Farm.
The “main ethos” of the Luxme collection is the “timeless Grecotel philosophy of filoxenia – heartfelt hospitality that welcomes every guest as family”.
A raft of changes has also taken place across other Grecotel properties in Crete.
The 67-room property Caramel has been reintroduced as the group’s first all-inclusive boutique resort. It relaunches with new pool villas and a “refined gastronomy” offering of all-inclusive à la carte dinners alongside the opportunity to dine at local restaurants and Agreco Farm.
Amirandes (pictured) in Heraklion has also unveiled new suites and villas, as well as a range of year-round amenities. The property offers a variety of all-inclusive culinary experiences, including at Mediterranean restaurant Minotaur and Cretan venue Xasteria.
In Panormos, the rooms and bungalows at Marine Palace & Aqua Park have been updated for 2026. The property has also refreshed its kids’ club and aqua park and enhanced its fitness and wellness experiences. Guests can access personal training classes, tennis sessions, classes in Pilates and yoga, and a range of treatments at the Elixir Spa.
This series of refurbishments and changes is said to help Grecotel “deliver a bold vision where timeless Greek hospitality meets modern luxury”.
