Carrier relaunches Zambia portfolio following product discovery trip

Collection introduces nine additional properties and two new itineraries

Carrier has relaunched its Zambia product portfolio with nine new properties and two additional itineraries.

The move comes after the operator’s product manager for Africa, Amanda Bailey, and luxury travel designer, Katie Paterson, undertook a two-week discovery trip to the country in May.

The portfolio highlights “lesser-known regions and hidden gems” as well as the popular Victoria Falls.

Bailey said: “Zambia is raw, wild and still relatively untouched. It doesn’t shout as loudly as some of its neighbours, but that’s part of its charm. With recent investment elevating lodge standards, the destination now appeals more than ever to the luxury market – combining world-class guiding with luxurious stays.”

Among the new itineraries is The Finest of Green Safari in Zambia and Malawi, which features a silent safari on board an electric dhow. The programme has been launched in collaboration with Green Safaris, which operates eight eco-luxury camps in both destinations.

Bailey said: “Our new itinerary, The Finest of Green Safari in Zambia and Malawi, is designed for time-poor luxury travellers seeking variety in one seamless trip. From helicopter tours over Victoria Falls to sundowners on the Zambezi and classic walking safaris, Zambia delivers adventure. Then, Malawi offers the perfect contrast – barefoot luxury and lakeside relaxation.”

Carrier said the destination offers “exceptional value”, with Bailey noting: “In peak season, clients can save 30 to 40% compared with the likes of Botswana, without compromising on quality. The food, the lodges – it’s all outstanding.

“Zambia suits couples, families and celebratory travellers alike, with endless opportunities for personalisation so agents can create a truly bespoke trip for their clients.”

Paterson added: “Even in peak season, Zambia feels uncrowded. Many lodges have private pockets, so everything – from game drives to sleepouts under the stars – feels intimate and relaxed. And don’t miss a walking safari; Zambia is its birthplace, and it’s a truly immersive, multi-sensory experience.”

Improved accessibility following the reinstation of Emirates six-times-weekly flights from Heathrow has also increased the destination’s appeal.

To celebrate the relaunch of the collection, Carrier will host an afternoon tea at the Zambia High Commission this November.

Agents can also explore the range of product via Carrier’s webinar, In Conversation With, which is available on the operator’s agent portal.

Bailey said: “It’s exciting to offer our agents a fresh destination that truly delivers. Zambia now boasts high-end properties that align perfectly with our portfolio, and we’re confident it’s one to watch.”
