The Beaumont Mayfair has introduced a new policy guaranteeing commission payments to travel agents within 24 working hours of guest departure.

The property said the move marked a “continued show of appreciation for the hotel’s long-standing travel advisor community”, adding: “In an industry where commission payments traditionally take 30 to 60 days to process, this bold move marks a significant shift, positioning The Beaumont Mayfair at the forefront of agent relations and operational excellence.”

Travel agents will now be paid commission on any bookings at the hotel within 24 working hours of guests leaving, or when the agent submits an invoice to the hotel.

In the case of a guest departing on a weekend or a public holiday, commission will be processed on the next working day.

Brenda Collin, European executive vice-president at Preferred Hotels & Resorts, of which The Beaumont Mayfair is a member, said: “Preferred Hotels & Resorts fully endorses The Beaumont Mayfair’s decision to pay agent commissions within 24 hours of guest departure.

“This focused commitment ensures that valued agency payments are prioritised daily. The Beaumont Mayfair continues to deliver unforgettable moments to discerning clients in an extraordinary setting in the heart of Mayfair.”

The Beaumont Mayfair features 101 rooms and suites, a large art collection and art deco details. Food and beverage venues include the Gatsby Room for afternoon tea, the Le Magritte bar and a terrace offering outdoor dining.

Rates start at £600 for a Classic Room and from £1,564 for a Classic Suite.
