The great swathes of trees are so vast, it’s as if the island has been covered in a thick emerald blanket.
The greenery gives way to a small pocket of ocean dotted with impressive yachts and small sailboats, the mountains of Albania towering in the distance.
This is the northeast coast of Corfu, an enchanting corner of the island where the towns most favoured by affluent visitors can be found nestled along the coastline. Kassiopi and St Stephano are two particular favourites, home to pristine ports, charming tavernas and hundreds of luxury villas, owned primarily by private accommodation specialist CV Villas.
Since the company was founded on the island more than 50 years ago, CV Villas has grown its portfolio of fivestar properties and mastered the art of luxury hospitality, which we get a taste of during an afternoon on the water.
Sojourn at sea
A flotilla of five rib boats bob gently on the waves, waiting to whizz us from port to port as we glimpse luxurious villas burrowed in the hillsides and watch the turquoise water glisten beneath us. Halfway through the boat ride, we stop for a chilled glass of rosé at picturesque dining spot Oliva in Nisaki, a favourite among CV clients.
In the late afternoon, we leave the boats behind to climb into taxis that take us deep into the hills above the bay of St Stephano. We’re deposited at Electra, one of the flagship properties in CV’s Above range – its portfolio of high-end villas that come with additional services – where the set-up for the most epic of parties awaits.
On an elevated patio to the left of the pool, a DJ has transformed the deck into a dance floor that looks out across the hills, while the main seating space has become a buffet area, with bite-sized caprese salads, slow-cooked meats and sumptuous desserts on offer, accompanied by hand-picked wines and signature cocktails. As evening turns to night, an infectious sense of happiness fills the air, the type of tangible joy brought about by good music, food and company.
Villa life
Certified party pad isn’t the only side to Electra – it’s also a prime spot for rest and relaxation. The villa features seven en suite bedrooms set over three floors and a guesthouse, as well as an open-plan kitchen and dining room, an outdoor cinema area and countless spots to laze in the sun. From its locale in the hills, the villa strikes the perfect balance between feeling secluded and being close enough to the village to wander in for a leisurely lunch at one of the oceanfront tavernas.
Although there’s a sizeable collection of villas in St Stephano operated by CV, the town is by no means the only area in which the company is pre-eminent.
During our time in Corfu, we visit two other Above properties: the four-bedroom Villa Maia in Kaminaki, home to a spectacular garden that stretches down to a dining area overlooking the ocean, and Villa Soukia, whose five bedrooms are spread across two pink-hued buildings centred around a stunning pool.
On our final evening, we visit another restaurant beloved by CV clients. We’re whisked across the waves from St Stephano towards Kalami, disembarking at The White House where we enjoy a sumptuous dinner against a sunset backdrop. Before arriving on the island, I knew I’d love Corfu – but experiencing it the CV Villas way made my trip just that little bit more memorable.
CV Villas offers seven nights at Villa Electra for£1,109 per person based on 14 people sharing in June 2026. The price includes return flights from Gatwick, transfers, concierge,
daily housekeeping and two-meal chef service six days per week.

“We stayed in the beautiful Villa Electra for two nights and visited other CV properties across Corfu – it was incredible to see the variety. Staying in St Stephano gave us the chance to experience local life and also indulge in a chef-made barbecue at the villa.”

“This wasn’t just a fam trip, but a reminder of what thoughtful, clarity-led travel feels like, with time to properly explore each villa. When you’ve walked the space yourself, it feels more personal and real. I’ve now got the kind of insight and footage you can’t fake.”
