Aspire checks into Sani Resort to experience its newly renovated suites ahead of the summer season

Our catamaran floats effortlessly across the water, leaving two foamy ripples in its wake. In the distance are cliff faces clad in dense foliage and clusters of rocks but, as I stand at the edge of the boat, my gaze is firmly fixed downward, hypnotised by the ocean’s deep blues and vivid turquoises blending together beneath us. We’re gliding across the Aegean Sea after setting sail from Halkidiki but, with no other boats in sight – or any sign of life, come to think of it – we could be in another world altogether. After a few hours of peaceful cruising, enhanced by good company and flutes of fizz, the yacht[1]studded harbour of Sani Marina, our starting point, reappears on the horizon. Safely docked and back on dry land, we leave Sani Dream behind in pursuit of the next divine stop on our itinerary: a traditional Greek feast at waterside eatery Vosporos. Surrounded by feta pastries, warm pitta bread and plates of grilled halloumi, it’s easy to see where our vessel got its name – Sani Resort really is a dream.
